In Vidisha, an extraordinary sight of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan unfolded. While on his way to the Amrit Bharat Railway Station project inauguration ceremony on Sunday, the CM stopped to check on a woman repairing an umbrella on the sidewalk. Upon hearing her story, he immediately directed the Collector to assist the woman. Consequently, officials handed her a check of Rs. 50,000.
The incident occurred as Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was passing by the city and BJP workers gathered to meet him. While on his way to the helipad, he spotted the woman working on the umbrella repair on the roadside. Moved by her plight, he approached her, sat down, and inquired about her well-being. Impressed by the woman’s determination, the Chief Minister promptly arranged financial aid of Rs. 50,000 for her under the Swa-Shakti scheme for self-employment.
The collector, Umashankar Bhargav, informed that the woman, Durgabai Vanshkar, was the recipient of the monetary assistance, presented by the Joint Collector Rajesh Kumar Gupta and Tehsildar.
