Tezpur university offers many facilities like hostels, libraries, Gym, Sports facilities, IT support, medical facilities, auditorium, cafeteria and all the necessary equipment. The campus wifi is good, the central library has all the necessary books. All the hostels are well maintained and the mess food are good and hygienic.
I studied computer science and engineering from Tezpur University and i would say the CSE department is one of the best. The curriculum is up-to-date and flexible. Online courses like NPTEL courses can be added to the course credits. Most professors and faculties are helpful and enthusiastic to teach us.
The placement of CSE department in Tezpur university and other school of engineering are very good and it is getting better in the past few years. Though that might be the case with other departments and courses.
Since it is a central government University, the fees are moderate. My course fee is approximately around 26,000 per semester and it is worth the money. University also provide financial scholarship.
Campus of Tezpur university is beautiful, green and quiet. Since the campus is away from the city, It is quiet and away from all the city noise. During spring season, the Sakura and different flowers bloom making it the most beautiful campus. Different Events, fests, festivals are celebrated giving the campus a very lively atmosphere.
One thing i would say while saying in the campus for 2 years, that the campus feels like a home.
